Dare to disagree

Enjoyed this TED Talk:
Dare to disagree by Margaret Heffernan

Openness alone can’t drive change

Fantastic model of collaboration – Thinking partners who are not echo chambers (who just doesn’t node for whatever the other partner says, instead tries to disprove)- dare to have such collaborators.

  • Find people who are very different from ourselves and find ways to engage with them.
  • Requires a lot of patience and a lot of energy.
  • Be prepared to change your minds.

Most biggest catastrophes that we’ve witnessed rarely come from information that is secret or hidden. It comes from information this is freely available.

Truth won’t set us free until we develop the skills, the habit, the talent and the moral courage to use openness.

Openness isn’t the end, it’s the beginning
