Most importantly, with the increased use of Smartphones, we are Socially Isolated. We give less importance to spend few minutes with people around us. New generation lack the inner heart love that prevents them to show an act of kindness to others.

Apart from this, Smartphone addiction directly affects our physical health from top head to bottom toes. Yes! We lack exercise but we give stress. Our Neck, Spinal Cord are affected leading to Nerve Damages. Naturally, our Eyes are affected with the blue light emitted from the screen. Continuous concentration on small texts on small screens increases the pain given to eye nerves. Other radiations from network connectivity affects minute brain, ear nerves.

Indirectly, mental heath is affected leading to disruption in sleep, increased stress, anxiety and depression. This lists extends. Those are bit explanatory here.

Now, a small challenge!

Early morning once you are up from your bed, see the time on the wall clock but not on the phone. You are not going to use the phone for next 30 mins. Instead you need to go to your rooftop or out of your house to enjoy a fresh morning breathe. Just plan your day, create some simple questions and answer them by yourself:

  1. Whom do you want to meet?
  2. What you are going to talk?
  3. How will you control your anger?
  4. What will you accomplish on that day?
  5. How not to waste the time?

if you are accompanied with people around you, try to converse with them. Talk face-to-face with your parents, siblings, friends or whoever with you. Create some good relationship. Motivate them too!

During night, 30 mins before going to bed, set aside your smartphone. Turn off your television. Talk with people around you. Think on what happened on that day.

  1. What new thing you learned?
  2. Where did you fail?
  3. Where can you improve?
  4. How many people you made to laugh?
  5. Think on the people who helped you.
